The Spotify export, in detail
This is the part most people come back for. Connect your Spotify account once and SongRanking looks up every song you’ve ranked, then writes them into a private playlist in your exact ranked order — not alphabetical, not shuffled, not grouped by artist. Position #1 in your list is track one.
Matching is the hard part, so it’s deliberate: a song is only accepted when both the title and the artist line up, which keeps tribute bands, karaoke versions and unrelated covers out of your playlist. Anything uncertain is flagged on a review screen where you can confirm a match, reject it, or paste a Spotify link to pin the exact recording you meant.
Rebuilding overwrites the same playlist rather than making a new one, so the link never changes. Nothing else on your account is touched, and you can delete the playlist whenever you like.

What is SongRanking?

How does ranking a song work?
You’re shown a song and you place it into your existing list at the position it deserves; everything below shifts down. You only ever decide whether one song belongs above or below another, which is a much easier judgement than inventing a score — and it produces a more honest list.
Can I export my rankings to Spotify?
Yes. Connect Spotify and you get a private playlist of every song you’ve ranked, in your exact order. Rebuilding updates that same playlist instead of creating a new one, so the link you share never changes. Nothing else on your account is touched.
Do I need an account, and does it cost anything?
It’s free. You can browse the whole crowd ranking, every song page and every artist page without signing in. An account is only needed to build your own list, and signing in with Google is one click — no password to create.
What if a song I want to rank isn’t here?
Request it. Submitted songs are reviewed and added to the shared pool, which makes them rankable by everyone rather than just you.
How is the overall ranking calculated?
A song’s overall position is the average of every position it holds across all individual lists — ranked #3 by one person and #7 by another averages to #5. Each song page also shows its best and worst placement and how many people have ranked it, so a broad consensus is easy to tell apart from one strong opinion.
